Paws n Relax - Pet friendly, walk to off leash beach and cafes

There’s a blend of rainforest, Bali and Byron Bay in this relaxed, elevated 3-bedroom, pet-friendly home, less than a 10-minute walk from Lighthouse Beach.

Across the street, you’ll find a tropical wetlands boardwalk and birdwatching area that leads towards the 4WD and off-leash dog beach, as well as camel rides. Dogs are permitted off-leash south of the beach access and north towards Watonga Rocks. The patrolled surf beach is a short walk along the sand, past Watonga Rocks.

The path across the street also leads to Blair Reserve, featuring a playground and dirt bike track. Great little cafes and convenience shops are just a 5-minute walk away, while Coles, a pharmacy and Tacking Point Tavern are approximately 4km away.

The home has been renovated at the front, with the original character retained at the back. The kitchen, living and dining areas, along with the deck, have been updated, while the bathroom and bedroom windows remain original.

The home is clean and tidy, with beautiful ocean breezes when you open the windows and let the fresh air flow through. Lighthouse Beach can be seasonally humid, and the home is nestled amongst the trees. Sit back and relax on the large deck, listening to the sounds of the waves and local wildlife.

Bedrooms :
Bedroom 1: Queen bed, reverse-cycle air conditioning and walk-in robe.
Bedroom 2: Double bed, pedestal fan, oil heater and built-in wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: Single bed plus roll-out single trundle, pedestal fan, blow heater and built-in wardrobe.

Living Areas :
The living room features a ceiling fan and two electric heaters, providing comfort throughout the seasons.

Bathrooms :
Original bathroom with toilet, small bath and single basin.
Separate original shower room with shower only.
Downstairs bathroom with toilet, single basin and shower.
Rustic outdoor hot shower and bath for a unique, nature-inspired experience.

Laundry :
The outdoor laundry features a bench, sink with hot water, and a combination washing machine and dryer for your convenience.

Parking and Access :
Off-street parking is available on the steep driveway. Please note that access to the front door is via stairs from the driveway, and the garage is not available for guest use.

  Our stay was fine overall, with just a few little niggles. The dishwasher needed cleaning so our first wash came out dirtier than it went in. The beds were comfortable and it was great to have a washing machine. It's a good location and the walk to the beach plus the steep driveway and steps up to the house kept us fit.

Apologies for the dishwasher not cleaning properly, we have serviced this, but we will get our cleaner to run another deep clean cycle through. We are glad that you loved the location. We do mention as best we can that the property has a steep driveway and stairs on the listing as well as the photos, for you to determine whether this is suitable before booking.

  Great house - clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. It was in a great location and we loved being able to walk to the local shops and dog friendly beach. Had a large, breezy balcony and we were even lucky enough to see a koala! Will definitely recommend!!!

  This is a delightful beach themed and lovingly prepared holiday home. My dogs and I were lucky enough to have stayed 6 weeks there. Sun drenched HUGE balcony, three great size bedrooms and modern kitchen. The owners have gone to great effort to think of absolutely anything you could want in the home making it seem very much like your home away from home. Loved our stay and just adored the owners I was lucky enough to meet. Delightful!!! HIGHLY recommended!!!

  The property was perfectly located in a quiet street close to beaches, coffee shop and super market. Its a comfortable cottage with a large north facing outdoor area. Pet friendly. Comfortable beds, equipped kitchens and clean bathroom. The only thing i could suggest is a gate above the internal and external stairwells. Property agent was very responsive and helpful

  Loved the location, close to Lighthouse Beach which is mostly for off leash dogs, the property was well appointed with kitchen utensils, towels, linen etc. Would have given it 5 stars however it was dusty, the glass doors were difficult to open especially the side door which didn’t open at all, it needs to have a gate at the top of the outdoor stars to contain dog and the tv could be bigger.
